Our approach:

In our lesson program we are focused on all-around horse stewardship rather than only riding.  Many of our students ride during most of their lessons, and we also have plenty of students who focus on groundwork, connection and co-regulation during their lesson time with no intent to ride.  All students learn horse handling and care, equine neurology and herd behavior as part of our program.

Lesson Details:

Lessons are taught in pairs.  It's great if you bring your own lesson partner, and it's also great if you don't have one- you can be paired up with another of our students.

We teach both English and Western riding styles. We teach all ages and all body types.  There are weight limits for riding which vary based on horse health and fitness (some horses can safely and happily carry more weight than other horses).   Generally weight restrictions are around 220 lbs for riding, contact us for details.  All people may participate in non-ridden work with our horses.

Within our lessons program, our advanced students are able to go on field trips with the horses to trail rides, obstacle courses, camping trips, and parades.

New Students!

New students are strongly encouraged to schedule a free meet & greet to meet the horses and hear about the program before beginning a weekly spot.  We also offer initial lessons without a monthly commitment at the $80 per lesson rate.

*Please note the payment for the first lesson is due at time of scheduling confirmation and is non-refundable.

Testimonials

"My riding lessons have quickly become the highlight of my week. Ryan is always happy to answer any question about any aspect of horse care and ownership, not just the mechanics of riding itself. I've learned so much about riding, animals and myself in my lessons and I leave every week feeling energized and excited for my next lesson." - Lydia Rogue
